"Dr. D.Berdichevsky currently supports the magnotometer experiments in the Voyager mission. He has been a PI and CO-I in NASA and NSF funded projects on major plasma (solar wind) disturbances with origin at the Sun. He recently identified a self-similar solution to the MHD non-lineal differential set of equations. (A solution for the evolution of tubes of flux of the nature often observed in the interplanetary medium.) A more realistic solution, considering its propagation at constant speed is currently under peer review. He performed operation support to Wind and other ISTP missions, providing reports of heliospheric disturbed conditions with the potential to affect the Earth’s magnetospheric environment. He helped the space science community to organize the study of unusual time intervals of a nearly disappearing solar wind, and contributed to their research. Developed the "Accurate Fast Noniterative Signal Processing Method" used for the production processing of the SWICS/Ulysses auxiliary channel solar wind data".
